I just found out that the new release (1.1pre1) of OpenCV has already integrated many state of art algorithms, such as graph-cut stereo matching algorithm [kolmogorov03], SURF (a new feature detection method surperior that SIFT), stereo image rectification and etc. Check out the document and find more.
